iGoogle Products

Google Maps is a neat product on google because all you have to do is search your destination or a place you need directions to and it will show a digital map of it and it can give you directions to that place.

Google Books is a great way to find a book that you want to read. You can purchase it from google or you can find book that is on google and read it that way.

Google News is an easy way to seach local news or just any news that is recent or news from the past.

Google Translate is a very useful product on google because you can translate almost every language that there is to translate so you know how to say it or spell it.

iGoogle

iGoogle is almost just like a blog except for the part of posting things, but what you can do is have your own page just like I do with a ton of gadgets. There are many to choose from like having pet fish or pet turtles like I do and you can also have many games on there. You might not know that you can also have gadgets that tell you the weather in your city and maybe so quotes that you like. There are many to choose from, but either way you can't go wrong with the cool gadgets!

Gadgets

In my Social Media we have been checking out gadgets on blogger. There are many to choose from and some are on my page, in fact all you have to do is scroll down and check them out. Blogger has some really cool gadgets like games and you can listen to music. They are super fun!

Histats

Histats is a way to see how many people have viewed your page that day and since you have had a blog.  It's a fun easy way to check who has been on your page and you can design it yourself!

Word Clouds

Word Clouds are fun to use and they're also educational because you can type in a song or a poem or even a reflection to help you remember. You can also do it for fun just like I do! I  use it for my class and just for the fun of it because you can create it how ever you want. My favorite is wordle but you can also use :tagul, tagcrowd, textorizer, and many more!

Faviki

Faviki is another cool website that uses the concept of wikipedia tags. It is really cool and easy to use. You can just go to the web page and it will tell all about it in these short videos. Faviki allows you to keep your own tags and connect them to common, universal concepts from the world's largest collection of knowledge!

Diigo

Diigo is very useful for many things. I like diigo because you can download this free tool bar and it has a little cool thing were you can highlight your text and if your logged in on your free account it will upload the thing you just highlighted and you can veiw the whole website just from what you highlighted. I think it is very useful for students that have a research paper, its way easier!

Delicious

Delicious is a very good sight if you like to bookmark alot of websites. What Delicious does is when you want to bookmark something it will bookmark it to your own web page and also you can share the websites that you have found. You can do that by tagging them and you can write your own description. It takes less time to do and it doesn't clutter your computer with bookmarks htat you might forget about.

Symbaloo

Symbaloo is a network where you can have it as your main web browser and you can add websites on it that you like. Some websites are already on there like facebook and ect. but you can also delete the things that you don't like. For an example there is something from bank of america on there and you dont want it all you got to do is click edit webmix at the top of the page and you can scroll over the boxes and click delete. I think this is such a good tool and you should use it too!

Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is the practice of saving bookmarks to a public Web site and tagging them with keywords. To create a collection of social bookmarks, you register with a social bookmarking site, which lets you store bookmarks, add tags of your choice, and designate individual bookmarks as public or private.  Visitors to social bookmarking sites can search for resources by keywords, person, or popularity and see the public bookmarks, tags, and classification schemes that registered users have created and saved. I like to social bookmark because it is an easier way to get to websites that you like! Also I think that it is a better way.

Meez is a really super fun avatar website where you can make and little person and play games to win more coins to buy clothes for your meez. We use it for our social media class to explore the virtual world. I think Meez is very fun and you should try it!
